Yacuma Ecolodge is a beautiful place created for those who love the Amazon Jungle, is a joint ecotourism initiative of the rainforest Indigenous Community of Chontayacu and Ecuahotel. BOSQUE PROTEGIDO YACUMA RAINFOREST
Yacuma Ecolodge has a protected rainforest reserve which spans over
300 hectares (3,000,000 square meters) of primary tropical rainforest. With it richness in species and diverse ecosystems, Yacuma Forest Reserve is an extraordinary place for Eco tourists.

Yacuma has 12 comfortable bungalows built from materials harvested from the rain forest in a sustainable manner and combined with modern materials in a traditional Amazon-style. Our 24 rooms have electricity from solar energy, private facilities and can accommodate in total 52 people.
COMMUNITY
Yacuma Ecolodge and the Community of Chontayacu is a real example of how the
Ecotourism can benefit both the private enterprises and the local communities.
Yacuma Ecolodge built and maintains the local School which provides basic
education for the kids of the Chontayacu Community, allows villagers to benefit economically from living in harmony with the forest in many ways.

HOW TO GET TO YACUMA?
Visitors will drive from Quito, following the beautiful route
that goes through Papallacta and Baeza, until arriving
to the city of Tena. This drive lasts about 4
hours and is plenty of exhilarating and very scenic
landscape ranging from the highlands of the spectacular
Andes to the low lands of the upper basin
of the Great Amazon River.
